The owners of this property wanted to use their back garden as a weekend retreat and a place to entertain friends and family. Our design intention for this modest back garden was to make the space feel like a large outdoor living space. We thoughtfully crafted a garden with the addition of a swimming pool, colorful plantings and eclectic details. We designed several informal areas for relaxing and socializing making the entire garden more usable and accessible. Additionally, we created a lattice privacy fence with tea lanterns to hide the driveway as well as the pool equipment.

We seamlessly blended new elements with existing components. By matching the original flagstone around the house with a cover patio area, deck and steps that serve as seating around the new pool, we thoughtfully created a cohesive look. The new outdoor living space appears as if it was part of the original home.
