The Sanderling Waldorf School's new campus sits on five acres with an adjacent wetland. In keeping with the Waldorf pedagogy and site specific elements, our intention was to integrate the importance of sustainability, love of the natural environment, and the creation of beautiful, flexible outdoor spaces for learning, gathering, celebrating, and playing. Depending on the age group and curriculum each student has multiple opportunities to discover nature, wonder, socialize, and experience plant life cycles and seasonality of food through edible gardening.
