This private residence, a beautiful 13-acre property in the Hollywood Hills, was envisioned as a resort and respite from the city for our client and guests. A narrow connection between the main house and guesthouse was transformed into a series of stone walls, a swimming pool, spa, and terraces. A meditation pavilion creates a shaded destination in the distance while the stone terrace and intimate seating areas provides both small and large scale opportunities for entertaining. Other amenities include an outdoor media room, fire pit, and full bar. The use of natural materials such as hand cut stone and sustainably grown hardwood evokes a warm aesthetic, and with a refined and regionally appropriate planting palette, connectedness to the surrounding landscape and an elegant private retreat are created.
