These world-traveling clients wanted an oasis when they returned home. We wanted to create and activate multiple outdoor rooms in this ground-up private modern residence located in a secluded community in the Pacific Palisades that provided ample privacy in the rear garden to the surrounding neighbors. The family and guests can disconnect from the outside world by sitting near the fire feature on a cantilevered deck or in the outdoor living room just off the house, enjoy morning coffee on the hillside as the sun rises, or dining al fresco under the allee of olive trees flanked by a field of lavender that was inspired by the clients' love of European meals enjoyed under the stars.
