The Martin

A densely planted bosque of stately date palms announces your arrival at The Martin. As a shaded respite from the hot desert sun, the dramatic and powerful Arrival Court landscape leads to the Entry Garden. As an extension of the interior lounge and reception, residents and guest seamlessly move into the Garden Lounge. Landscape design elements include a dense canopy of African Sumac that provide a tranquil enclosure and a dappled shade of an evergreen ceiling. Outdoor living rooms provide lounge and seating arrangement for groups large and small, with a fire feature providing warmth and ambiance. The pool environment was enhanced with exclusive, pool-side cabanas in the form of modern cubes. Linear bands of large leaved columnar trees evoke a lush green environment in the summer months to compliment the refreshing hospitality amenities. The overall concept, as an abstraction of a desert oasis, was inspired by artist, Chris Burden.
